KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The University of Michigan Law School Innocence Clinic has filed to have a judge look into what they call the wrongful conviction of a man in a 1990 double-murder case.
Jeffery Titus was convicted in 2002 for the murders of Doug Estes and Jim Bennett while hunting in Kalamazoo County. The Clinic's David Moran says, however, the two investigators that originally cleared Titus in the initial investigation were never consulted, and Titus also had an alibi that he was himself hunting in Calhoun County when the murders took place.
